In February, BYD passenger vehicle sales continued increasing and achieved 90,268 units, a 336.2% year-over-year (YoY) increase. BYD’s new energy vehicle (NEV) sold 87,473 units, achieving a remarkable 764.1% YoY growth.
BYD sold 43,173 pure electric vehicles for an outstanding 451% YoY growth in February. Meanwhile, with the DM-i super hybrid technology, the BYD DM model also performed well, with sales of 44,300 units, growing 1,836.2% YoY in February.
The flagship BYD Han model sold 9,290 units in February. Another flagship BYD Tang model sold 10,426 units in February. Tang DM-i, owing to its premium riding experience and high intelligence, held the leading position among new energy SUVs.
The first A-class SUV built upon BYD e-platform 3.0, Yuan Plus (named ATTO 3 in Australia), was launched in China and Australia on Feb. 19. Yuan Plus achieved pre-sales of over 20,000 units by its aesthetics, intelligence, efficiency, and safety.
