GoZero Mobility to launch its electric bike in North East India. The company plans to invest $1 million in the coming 3 years in North East India. It will create around 100 jobs too. GoZero Mobility will set up local units for assembling for same-day delivery options. It hopes to sell around 15,000 electric bikes in the North East region annually.

GoZero Mobility is a British performance electric bicycle maker with headquarters in Birmingham and a manufacturing base in Kolkata and Gurugram, present in over 30 major cities in India with 150+ retail networks.

The adoption of electric vehicles in India is gaining pace for a few years now. Most of the demand is for electric scooters and electric three-wheelers and now electric bikes are seeing a demand with various features and benefits. Electric bicycles provide pedal-assist cruising modes and battery onboard.

GoZero Mobility Co-Founder, Sumit Ranjan said, “We see a significant demand for our products in the region; hence we see this is an appropriate time for us to expand in the North East Market. We anticipate selling 15,000 units annually with our presence in the North East,” he further added.

Indis is one of the largest bicycle and two-wheeler markets across the world. The North East region has remained untapped as of now. The company will set up electric bike retail shops in all the North-Eastern states including Arunachal Pradesh, Assam, Meghalaya, Manipur, Mizoram, Nagaland, and Tripura.
