BGauss To Invest Rs 40 Crore To Double Its Production Capacity From 1 Lakh To 2 Lakh

BGauss Auto Pvt Ltd is aiming to invest around Rs 40 crore to double the production capacity to 2 lakh units annually by the coming year. The company also plans to have 5-6 merchandise in its high-speed electric scooters after 2 years.

“This year we are targeting (to sell) around 80,000 to 1 lakh vehicles,” BGauss Auto Founder and Managing Hemant stated. The company’s manufacturing facility at Chakan, Pune currently manufactures 1 lakh units and it could manufacture up to 2 lakh units.

The company raised around Rs 52 crore in April 2022. BGauss has two electric scooters which are A2 and B8 electric scooters. It launched its third e-scooter D15 recently and will start its deliveries in June.

“We are going to launch one more product in this financial year. So, there will be four products that we will have in our portfolio in this financial year. We have also started designing a product for (launch around) next year Diwali,” he added.

“Currently we have close to 100 dealerships, 52 are active and 48 will be active by the next month…We are targeting that by March 2023, we should have close to 250 dealerships in 160-odd cities,” Kabra stated.

The company has no plans to enter any other electric vehicle segment for at least 3 years.
